Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson was born in Mexico to a family of musicians. Growing up she was influenced by classical music, boleros and the classic romantic, ranchero, as well as romance ballads. Ana loves tangos and opera, as well as all dramatic performances. After singing with her mom, she started more serious training in singing at 16 under the guidance of renown Mexican Tenor FlavioBecerra. She furthered her training in music in the School of Music of Guadalajara University and later at the School of Sacred Music, Toluca. Her early professional career included performances with a variety of chamber ensembles and opera choruses and chamber groups in Guadalajara. Following her move to America, United States, she performed as a member of the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. In 2002, she made her way to Southern California. She currently is a part of Ensemble XXI of Redlands and frequently performs solo with the traditional Latin American music at private performances. In addition to being an active performer as well as an instructor the passion for music and art keeps her active in a variety of projects. Ana is a previous member of Community Chorus of Redlands (as being a member of the Inland Master Chorale) and Performance Loft. Ana loves to sing classic Latin American songs and hopes to encourage other people to follow in her footsteps.
