Alexandra-Maria-Lara

Alexandra Maria Lara (born in Romania) is a Romanian TV presenter and actress. She is best known for her role as the main character in Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control and Rush. As the only daughter from Romanian acting star Valentin Platareanu Alexandra stepped into the world of show business early, and ended up acting in lead roles on various television dramas by the time she turned 16. Her critically acclaimed role in the made-for-television film Der Tunnel paved way for many other noteworthy roles, including the role of Adolf Hitler's secretary Traudl Junge from the critically and commercially profitable Oscar nominated historical war film Downfall. The Reader is another Oscar nominated movie featuring this actress. Alexandra worked on several notable national and international projects throughout her career. This includes the British biographical Control Greek drama film The Dust of Time and the French historic miniseries Napoleon and many more. Her other roles include being an official jury member for both and the Transylvania International Film Festival and Cannes Film Festival.
